 The
FSRS is participating in studying the biology of the
Leatherback sea turtles.
The
Society's fishermen members report any sightings (alive
or dead) to Leatherback Sea Turtle Working Group by
calling the toll free number 1-888-729-4667.
By
reporting these sightings, biologists are finding
out that leatherbacks do regularly occur in Atlantic
Canada waters, rather than just freak occurrences.
