Inshore Tagging Project

Fishermen members of the Society have tagged a number of fish species including; cod, haddock, and halibut. Approximately 6000 cod have been tagged off the Scotian Shelf.

The tagging project was conducted to study movements and migration patterns of various fish. The fish are tagged with green or yellow spaghetti tags. Each spaghetti tag has it's own serial number and the address to send it to.

If you find one of these tags and send it in you will be rewarded with a great ball cap with a picture of a fish on it. If you have tags to pass in, please contact us.
